Just because its fruit doesn't mean its good for you - fruit is full of fructose which converts into glucose therefore rapidly spiking blood sugar levels (i.e. fruit is very high GI). The body responds by secreting the hormone insulin to regulate higher sugar levels. Any unused glucose energy is then converted into fat. Any more than 2 pieces of fruit a day is probably too much for the average person.
