Tabata Training
Monday 30th of November -0001 12:00:00 AMI have been including Tabata training with some of my clients and they have been really enjoying the variety and the results.
Tabata is a form of high intensity interval training. It is a method that is much more beneficial than regular medium intensity training (jogging, biking, skipping, and so forth) and much more enjoyable.
The method is designed so that it lasts 4 minutes long, however within those 4 minutes you have to go through 8 intervals. Each lasting 20 seconds at a very high intensity.
Within those 20 seconds however, you are going all out. Make sure you use a weight where you can successfully go all out for all 8 intervals.
Tabata is great for people who want to lose body fat and also increase the bodies lean muscle mass. When done correctly, Tabata is a great alternative for running/jogging as you can burn as much fat as a 45 min jog in half the time and with less stress/impact on the body.
So if you think you would like to try Tabata training, don't hesitate to give Metabolize PT a call to make a booking.
